Tuley's Takes on the latest college football bowl games

We hope all our readers and followers had a very Merry Christmas (or however you celebrate the holiday season) and that our 2-1 ATS over the past week of college football bowls (and our 5-2 ATS mark in NFL Week 16) helped make it better.

We won with Georgia Tech +5 in the Yellow Jackets’ 30-17 outright upset of Central Florida in last Friday’s Gasparilla Bowl and then also had another straight-up win with my alma mater Northern Illinois +3 in the Huskies’ 21-19 win over Arkansas State in Saturday’s Camellia Bowl. The setback was on Rice +5.5 in a 45-21 loss vs. Texas State in Tuesday’s First Responders Bowl. I guess we can’t win ‘em all (though we keep trying!).

We’re now a solid 4-2 ATS (66.7%) during bowl season, and our CFB Best Bets in these columns are now 32-26-2 ATS (55.2%), including the regular season for a net profit of 3.4 units based on laying the standard -110.

Let’s get to our top plays for this weekend’s games, including an update of our picks in the CFB Playoff that we posted right after the semifinals were set!
