The Troy Trojans will be on the road this week as they travel to Mobile, AL to take on the South Alabama Jaguars. Troy comes into Mobile with a 5-2 record writing a four-game win streak after a 3 point win over Texas State a week ago. Defensively Troy dominated the game holding Texas State under 300 total yards and shut the Bobcats out in two quarters leading to the victory.
Offensively Troy moved the ball well accumulating over 400 total yards including 299 through the air to score 17 points in the win. Gunnar Watson led the way for the Troy offense completing 12 of 22 passes for 240 yards and one score and Jarret Doege completed four of six passes for 59 yards and one touchdown as well. DK Billingsley led the way on the ground for Troy with 70 yards on 16 carries.
The South Alabama Jaguars continue a homestand this week with five wins through their first six games played following a seven point win over ULM. Offensively South Alabama was dominant amassing over 600 yards including 420 through the air to score 41 points in the game.
