Tiger Woods Open Championship predictions 2022: Betting odds, Outlook, Simulations, Predictions

Many golf observers thought the idea of Tiger Woods playing competitive golf again was far-fetched after sustaining a major leg injury in a February 2021 car accident. Woods defied those doubters by not only playing in the 2022 Masters Tournament, but also making the cut and finishing all four rounds (47th place). In the only other tournament he played this season, Tiger made the cut at the PGA Championship at Southern Hills, but withdrew after a 3rd round 79 derailed his chances for a reasonable finishing position.

The three time Open cham pion returns to the site of his favorite and most successful European golf venue, St. Andrews, for the 150th Open Championship, where his finishes have resulted in two wins (2000 and 2005), a top-25 in 2010, a made cut as an amateur (1995), and a missed cut (2015).

Considering he skipped the U.S. Open in order to prepare for this tournament, it appears as though Tiger is in better shape than he was at the PGA Championship, where he was noticeably limping around the hilly venue. Being that St. Andrews is flat, walking 18 holes daily should be of no concern to the 15-time major champion.
