The SEC is entering the second half of league play with a matchup between the Texas A&M Aggies (15-8, 6-4 SEC) and the Vanderbilt Commodores (6-17, 1-9 SEC). The Aggies are coming off a huge win over #6 Tennessee, winning 85-69 as 3-point home underdogs. Vanderbilt just dropped a game on the road to #15 South Carolina 75-60, missing the cover as 11.5-point dogs. This is the only matchup between these teams this season. The Texas A&M Aggies are on a three game winning streak coming into this matchup, but none of the wins were bigger than their most recent win over #6 Tennessee. A&M led by 14 at half, and never looked back, leading by as many as 22 points, and the Volunteers never held a lead in the game. The Aggies' backcourt took over the game, as Tyrece Radford had 27 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Wade Taylor IV added another 25 points and seven assists in the win.

Taylor is 3rd in the SEC in scoring with 19.9 PPG as a 6'0 junior guard. He is the top shooter on the team with 59 made threes, though he only connects on 30.9% of his attempts from deep. He has been excellent in conference play, averaging 24.8 PPG over his last eight games. Tyrece Radford is the only other double figure scorer for the Aggies, he is averaging 15.0 PPG as a 6'3 senior guard. Radford also grabs 5.4 RPG, and has scored 22 or more in each of his last three games. Henry Coleman III is the top post player on the team, he is averaging 9.9 PPG and 6.9 RPG as a 6'8, 245-pound senior inside. Solomon Washington is another starter in the frontcourt, he is a 6'7 sophomore forward adding 5.8 PPG and 4.9 RPG on the inside.

Texas A&M is currently ranked 39th overall according to KenPom. They rank 40th in offensive efficiency and 42nd in defensive efficiency. The Aggies play very slow offensively, they rank 318th in the nation in pace of play. Texas A&M is currently projected to be a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament by Joe Lunardi in his Bracketology.
