Stefon Diggs projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Buffalo Bills player profile, season outlook, simulations

The move to Buffalo in 2020 was thought to originally be a downgrade for Stefon Diggs' fantasy prospects. Turns out, that notion couldn't have been more incorrect. Diggs' presence has helped vault Josh Allen into a top five NFL quarterback and the star receiver has averaged a whopping 165 targets in each of his first two seasons in the AFC East. Diggs' efficiency plummeted in 2021 though; despite only two less targets, he managed 24 less catches and 310 less receiving yards compared to the previous season. His touchdowns went from eight to ten so 2021 wasn't a complete bust for one of the NFL's best receivers.

Even if Diggs repeats his 2021 performance, he's a no doubt fantasy WR1 and easily top ten performer at the position. But the upside for growth this season is tremendous. The Bills added veteran slot receiver Jamison Crowder and emerging tight end O.J. Howard to go with Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Dawson Knox. Teams aren't going to be able to double team Diggs very often and with Allen's improving accuracy, the wasted targets should become fewer.

Another 1,500 yard season with double-digit touchdowns is probable as is the potential for a top five fantasy wide receiver finish. If Diggs somehow falls below pick 15 in PPR leagues, it would be an absolute bargain.
