My Pick: Panthers +110, BetMGM

The odds say this is going to be a close series, and I couldn't agree more. Both the Golden Knights and Panthers are strong teams that should be here, and both had unique and difficult journeys. To me, it is all about getting the best value at the number. If I see two teams as evenly matched, but one is priced at -125, then the choice for me is easy here. The Panthers have just as much of a shot to win the Stanley Cup as Vegas does, but they are priced at plus money. Could the Knights win? Certainly, they can. However, I'm not willing to lay money against the Panthers, who have proven time and time again that they can beat teams that are favored over them.

The key to the entire series will be how well Sergei Bobrovsky plays in the net for Florida. His emergence turning back the clock has been what has propelled the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final. During the regular season, that was their biggest liability, as they allowed 3.32 goals per game on average. That was one of the highest averages in the NHL, but since the start of the playoffs, that has completely flipped.

Meanwhile, Vegas isn't a team that has an overwhelming offense. In fact, all three of the Panthers' opponents in the playoffs so far averaged more shots on goal per game than the Golden Knights. Florida has more than enough offense to win, scoring 3.51 goals per game and getting 36.8 shots on goal as well.

At a plus-money number, I'll gladly take Florida to hoist the Stanley Cup.
