St. Mary's at Wyoming – 12/21/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Saint Mary’s Gaels and the Wyoming Cowboys will meet at the Jerry Colangelo Classic in Phoenix this Wednesday from the Footprint Center.

Saint Mary’s dropped to 9-4 after losing to Colorado State at home. The Gaels and Rams battled in a hard-fought game that would see Isaiah Stevens lead CSU to a two-point victory. St. Mary’s scores 68.8 points per game, while allowing 57.7 ppg, while shooting 45.4% from the floor.

Randy Bennett has retooled and reloaded on the fly. The Gaels go about seven deep, with all seven pieces functioning strong as a unit. Mitchell Saxen has assumed the Matthias Tass-role early on, scoring 12.4 ppg, while leading the Gaels in rebounding (8.5). Veteran guard Logan Johnson remains in the fold, and he flirted with a triple-double in the win over Vandy. Johnson is averaging a healthy 10.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, and 3.6 apg. Fellow guards Aidan Mahaney (13.8 ppg) and Alex Ducas (13.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg) are contributing well early on as well.
