The Kraken are having a rough season with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.76 goals per game with only three goals in the last three games. Oliver Bjorkstrand, Jared McCann, and Eeli Tolvanen have combined for 47 goals and 59 assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only five skaters have nine goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has been a bright spot, allowing only 2.86 goals per game. Adam Larsson and Jamie Oleksiak have combined for 6.0 defensive point shares and 214 blocked shots while Vince Dunn, William Borgen, and Brian Dumoulin have combined for 6.9 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The hope is that goaltender Philipp Grubauer improves in the net as he's struggled with a .884 save percentage and a 3.25 goals-against average on 432 shots with -8.6 goals saved above average.
