The San Antonio Spurs are coming off of a win, a statement that has not been said frequently this season. The Spurs were on a seven game losing streaking heading up to Toronto, but left with a win behind a 27 point, 14 rebound and 10 block triple-double from Victor Wembanyama. It is the first triple-double with blocks since Clint Capela did the same in 2021, and is the first game that anyone had 10 blocks since the same Capela game. Devin Vassell also added another 25 points in the win.

Wembanyama continues his strong rookie campaign, and is leading the Spurs in points and rebounds with 20.4 PPG and 10.1 RPG. Wemby also leads the entire NBA in blocked shots with 3.2 per game. He had the big triple-double last time out against Toronto, and dropped another 21 in the previous game against Brooklyn. Devin Vassell is their top scorer from the perimeter, he is averaging 19.0 PPG and adding another 3.6 APG. Vassell is also the top shooter on the team with 2.5 made threes per game. Keldon Johnson was moved to the second unit, but is still the third leading scorer on the team with 16.3 PPG. Jeremy Sochan is an excellent defender on the perimeter, and is averaging 11.4 PPG as a ball-handling forward.

Tre Jones was moved to the starting lineup to add a true point guard, he leads the team in assists with 5.8 per game while adding another 9.7 PPG. Julian Champagnie is in the starting lineup as a role player, he averages 5.8 PPG. Th e Spurs are ranked 27th in offensive efficiency and 24th in defensive efficiency according to dunksandthrees.com.
