The Sacramento State Hornets and the Weber State Wildcats will meet in Boise to face off in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Championship at the Idaho Central Arena on FloSports. Weber State leads the all-time series, 46-10, after winning the last six meetings.
Sacramento State closed at 14-17 following a home win over Portland State. The Hornets brawled with the Vikings for forty minutes, and left Oregon with a two-point win, 76-74. Sacramento is scoring 66.1 points per game, while allowing 66.5 ppg, and shooting 44.2% from the floor.
Sacramento State dropped two of their last ten games, and they’ll look to avoid a third loss to Weber State this Monday. Sacramento is led by the senior inside-outside pairing of Zach Chappell and Callum McRae. Chappell scored 22 in the recent road loss to Montana State, and he leads the Hornets in scoring (13.5). McRae posted a 24-point double-double in the win over Portland State, and he leads the team in rebounding (9.3), while scoring 12.8 ppg.
