Rockies vs Marlins Prediction & Pick

The Marlins desperately need to snap their losing skid and, fortunately, they have a good shot at doing so with Chase Anderson starting for the Rockies. Anderson has struggled more than he's thrived lately, going 0-4 with a 13.25 ERA in his last five starts. Even worse is that he didn't make it to the fifth inning in four of those outings.

At the same time, Miami needs Johnny Cueto to build off his latest appearance. The two-time all-star looked solid in his first MLB game since rehabbing a biceps injury, striking out a batter with one hit allowed over three relief innings in a 5-4 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on July 16.

All skids must come to an end and I see the Marlins halting theirs this afternoon. The majority of their losing streak happened on the road and now they're at loanDepot park, where they are 14-6 SU in their last 20 home games. The Rockies have played well lately, but their 15-33 SU road record is hard to ignore.

In what could be a high-scoring game, back the Marlins to return to the win column.

Final Score Prediction:'Marlins: 6 | Rockies: 5

Rockies vs Marlins Best Bet

When the Marlins haven't given their fans much to cheer about, Bryan De La Cruz has been one of the few bright spots. The exciting outfielder is batting .302 with 16 hits, three home runs, and 29 total bases in his last 13 games (53 at-bats).

After racking up 14 total bases in his last four games alone, I don't think asking for De La Cruz to record at least two today is asking for too much.
