Riviera Country Club History
The Riviera Country Club was founded in 1926 by members of the Los Angeles Athletic Club and the club officially opened in 1927. IT was at the 1948 U.S. Open at Riviera the course earned its nickname "Hogan's Alley" after he won the event, his third in 18 months there. It is also the home of Tiger Wood's first PGA Tour event, at just 16 years old. Overall, Riviera has hosted three major championships in its history and is set to be the home course for the 2028 Summer Olympics.
