The Friars ended a two-game losing streak on Wednesday night in a thrilling 91-87 overtime win over 19th-ranked Creighton in Providence. The Friars have now won four of their last six games and are back in the hunt for a tournament invite. Guard Devin Carter and forward Josh Oduro led the with each registering a double-double in the overtime win. Carter had 28 points and 11 rebounds including several critical baskets down the stretch and in overtime while Oduro had 32 points and 12 rebounds as the Friars survived a hot-shooting night from Creighton.

“Our guys battled through adversity tonight.” Head Coach Kim English said. “They found a way, especially in the second half, to get the win. They were great. I am especially proud of them tonight.”

Providence would surely benefit from a critical road win over Butler on Saturday afternoon. The Friars are fourth in the Big East in scoring offense this season and that pulled them through on Wednesday against the Bluejays.
