Portland Trail Blazers (12-29) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (21-22) 

The 2023-24 NBA season goes on Sunday, January 21, with the Portland Trail Blazers taking on the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference clash at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, with the tip-off at 10:00 PM ET.  

Portland and Los Angeles wrap up their three-game regular-season series. The Lakers look to sweep the Blazers for the first time since 1988-89. Los Angeles beat Portland twice in November, 116-110 as an 8.5-point home fave and 107-95 as a 9.5-point road fave.

The Portland Trail Blazers (12-29; 19-22 ATS) put an end to their four-game losing streak last Wednesday, outlasting the Brooklyn Nets 105-103 as 5.5-point home underdogs. Two days later, the Trail Blazers upset the Indiana Pacers 118-115, playing as 8-point home dogs. 

The Blazers held the Pacers to 42.9% shooting from the field while making 50.0% of their field goals. Portland handed out just 18 assists, but the Trail Blazers went 30-for-35 from the foul line and outscored Indiana 66-26 in the paint. Jerami Grant accounted for 37 points, while Malcolm Brogdon had 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. 

The Trail Blazers are 14th in the Western Conference, eight games behind the Lakers, who hold the No. 10 seed. Portland is 30th in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (108.0 points per 100 possessions) and 21st in adjusted defensive efficiency (117.3).
