NBA Player Prop Predictions 1: Scoot Henderson
Portland Trailblazers point guard Scoot Henderson played 36 minutes in his NBA debut and scored 11 points on 5-11 from the field with 4 assists & 3 rebounds.
However, Henderson also committed a team high 4 turnovers as he was the Blazers primary ballhandler. The Orlando Magic is a young team that is very active on defense, and they forced the Houston Rockets to commit 19 turnovers in their first game of the season.
Both starting guards for the Rockets surpassed this total as Jalen Green committed 4 and Fred VanVleet committed 3.
Last season the Magic also ranked 9th in opponent turnovers with 14.1 per game. Henderson is a rookie that who will have the ball in his hands for the majority of the game.
Based on that, the turnovers will happen and as long as the number sits at 2.5, we are taking the over.

NBA Player Prop Predictions 2: Julius Randle 22.5 Points (-115) DraftKings
New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle did fall well short of this total with only 14 points on 5-22 from the field in his opening game on Wednesday night.
He did stuff the stat sheet with 11 rebounds and 7 assists, but we are focused on those 22 shot attempts. This has become the story behind Randle, he will ALWAYS be firing away, it just comes down to if he sinks his shots.
The Atlanta Hawks have struggled against the power forward position in the past and that trend continued on opening night as they allowed PJ Washington to score a game high 25 points. Randle crushed this total in 3 of 4 games against Atlanta last season with 14, 34, 32 and 26 points.
Randle managed to score 14 points against a strong Celtics defense despite shooting only 5-22 from the floor, 3-8 from three-point land and 1-5 from the charity stripe. If he evens improves slightly, this should be an easy over against a vulnerable Hawks defense.
