The Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL) is a premier basketball league in Taiwan, established on July 9, 2024. It represents the fourth professional basketball league in the country, following the Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA), P. League+ (PLG), and T1 League. TPBL games consist of four 12-minute quarters, totaling 48 minutes of play. Teams can register 9 to 14 local players, 3 to 4 import players, 1 foreign student or Asian import player, and 2 heritage players. A unique "8-Imports-In-4-Quarters" rule allows each team to have two import players on the court per quarter.
