Phoenix Suns vs. Utah Jazz Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-27-2023

Phoenix will try to build on its impressive win over Philadelphia when it travels to Utah on Monday night. The Suns lost six out of seven games before notching their 125-105 win against the 76ers on Saturday. Utah is riding a three-game losing skid following a 121-113 loss at Sacramento on Saturday.

Phoenix got off to a disappointing 21-24 start to the season, but it turned things around by going 16-5 in its next 21 games to stabilize itself as a playoff team. The Suns acquired star Kevin Durant from Brooklyn during that stretch, but he is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury. They lost six out of seven games following their four-game winning streak to open the month of March, losing all three games during a road trip last week. Leading scorer Devin Booker scored 32-plus points in all three of those losses, including a 46-point outburst against Oklahoma City last Sunday.

The Suns snapped their skid with an impressive 125-105 win over Philadelphia on Saturday, as Booker scored a team-high 29 points. Bismack Biyombo stepped up with 17 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in one of his best games of the season, starting in the place of the injured Deandre Ayton. He also played excellent defense against Philadelphia star Joel Embiid. Veteran point guard Chris Paul finished with 13 points, six assists and five rebounds, going 4 of 7 from the floor. Ayton, who averages 18.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, is questionable for this game with his hip injury. Phoenix ranks No. 18 in the NBA offensively, averaging 113.7 points per game. The Suns are facing a Utah defense that is No. 24, allowing 117.8 points per contest. Phoenix enters Sunday’s slate ranked fourth in the Western Conference, sitting a half-game ahead of the Clippers and Warriors.
