The Flyers are having a great season despite their offense struggling and scoring only 2.91 goals per game. Travis Konecny, Joel Farabee, and Sean Couturier have combined for 53 goals and 70 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only seven skaters have eight goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has carried the Flyers, allowing only 2.83 goals per game with only seven goals in their last four games. Nick Seeler and Sean Walker have combined for 6.8 defensive point shares and 233 blocked shots while Cameron York, Yegor Zamula, and Travis Sanheim have combined for 6.6 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The hope is that goaltender Samuel Ersson improves as he has struggled with a .901 save percentage and a 2.49 goals-against average on 670 shots with -1.8 goals saved above average.
