“We had a really good effort today,” Senators captain Brady Tkachuk said. “Special teams came up big, [the penalty kill] was great tonight and the power play showed up when we needed it to. Overall, it was a really fun experience.”

Cam Talbot stopped 31 shots moving to 2-6-0 with a 2.68 GAA and a .918 save percentage. The three power-play goals moved Ottawa to ninth on the power-play at 24.0% and are averaging 3.15 goals per game. They are 24th in goals allowed per contest (3.45). Mathieu Joseph had a goal and two assists in the win.
