Ohio State vs. Iowa Prediction, Pick & Odds: Clark to Blow by Pistol Pete’s Record
Ohio State vs. Iowa Prediction, Pick & Odds: Clark to Blow by Pistol Pete’s Recordiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

Our Ohio State vs. Iowa prediction based on the best college basketball odds expects Caitlin Clark to bring her best against the No. 2 Buckeyes.

With the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes traveling to Iowa to take on the No. 6 Hawkeyes in the regular-season finale, this is the biggest game of Caitlin Clark's record-breaking season.

The favorite to repeat by our women's Wooden Award odds, Clark is just 18 points shy of breaking “Pistol” Pete Maravich's NCAA Division I scoring record of 3,667.

Though she's more likely than not to break the record against the Buckeyes, Iowa will need her to score a whole lot more than 18 points to emerge victorious.

In one of the most anticipated games of the college basketball season, Iowa is seeking revenge on Ohio State after losing 100-92 to the Buckeyes on Jan. 21, a game that was marred by a court-storming fiasco.

To be victorious this time around, Clark will need to be nearly flawless with how much scoring depth this Buckeyes attack brings to the court.

Here is our best Ohio State vs. Iowa prediction and our college basketball picks (odds via our best March Madness betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Ohio State vs. Iowa prediction

Best odds: -115 via bet365

Coming off a 33-point triple-double in a shellacking of Minnesota, in which Clark could have had far more points, the Iowa Hawkeyes superstar is showing no signs of slowing down.

Though this Ohio State program is one of the best in the country, it was clear last time these teams played that head coach Kevin McGuff knew he couldn't slow down Clark and that his best bet was to keep up.

Despite the Buckeyes' win, Clark finished with 45 points, hit seven threes on 18 attempts, and went 14 for 16 from the free-throw line.

Given the talent of the Buckeyes, Clark had to take on an even larger role in the loss and finished with her second-most threes and free-throw attempts in a game this season. She'll need to do much of the same this time around with the Buckeyes ranking 16th in the country in points per game and having four players averaging double-digit points.

Ohio State has one of the most efficient offenses in the country, but its defense can be pushed by top talent.

Though it's allowing only 64.5 points per game in conference play, Big Ten teams are shooting 33.2% from behind the arc and getting to the free-throw line 16.6 times per game against Ohio State. It's also struggled against better opponents, giving up at least 77 points in four of six games against top-25 teams. In those six games, the Buckeyes have allowed an average of 77.2 points per game.

Clark's an unstoppable force who puts defenses in impossible situations with her range from deep and jaw-dropping ability to attack the rim downhill

In Big Ten games, she's averaging 33.2 points, going 5.9 for 14.7 from three (40%) and 4.8 for 8.5 from two (56.6%) while shooting 88.5% from the charity stripe.

College basketball has never seen a player like her, and she's going to go out with a bang against the Buckeyes.

Ohio State vs. Iowa best odds

DraftKings FanDuel BetMGM Caesars bet365
Over 34.5 points N/A N/A N/A Over 33.5 points
-110 N/A N/A N/A -115

Only two of our best sports betting sites are offering a line on Clark's points total against Ohio State. It's a tough call, with DraftKings offering slightly better value for one more point, but with the Buckeyes being one of the best teams in the country, going with bet365 here is the play.

Despite going with bet365's line of 33.5, taking the Over on Clark's point total up to 34.5 at -115 or better has value. If the line balloons to 35.5 at our best sports betting apps, that's when it might get dicey unless the odds are +100 or better. Clark's gone for at least 35 points in 12 of 29 games this season.
