The North Carolina Lottery Commission announced two additional mobile betting operator applications on Wednesday, with Catawba Two Kings Casino and Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise Cherokee applying for licenses.'
It's anticipated that Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise Cherokee's application will lead to Caesars Sportsbook gaining mobile access across North Carolina, given Caesars' existing relationship with Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, which features a brick-and-mortar Caesars Sportsbook. Catawba Two Kings Casino has yet to announce an official sports betting partner.'
Outside of those applicants, seven other betting apps are expected to go live in North Carolina in the coming months. Those seven apps are:
- bet365 (N.C.)
- BetMGM (N.C.)
- DraftKings (N.C.)
- ESPN BET (N.C.)
- Fanatics Sportsbook (N.C.)
- FanDuel (N.C.)
- Underdog
Of the seven apps, six of them have announced partnerships with professional sports franchises, venues, or leagues to gain access to North Carolina's mobile market. Underdog is the lone operator yet to announce an official sports betting partner.'
