Statement made. After their Week 1 embarrassing defeat at the hands of defending champions Georgia, the Ducks have since whipped Eastern Washington 70-14 and taken down No. 12 BYU 41-20. The offense over the last few games has been nearly perfect for Oregon, and former Auburn QB Bo Nix has looked unstoppable since that loss to the Bulldogs in Week 1. Perhaps that early blowout is just what a talented team like Oregon needed to get the ball rolling on their season, and my goodness, the ball has started flying down that hill.

The defense has been better since getting demolished by the Georgia offense. They held a fantastic BYU attack to just 20 points, and they completely shut down the running game, with RB Christopher Brooks gaining just 28 yards on the day. They still got exposed through the air however, as QB Jaren Hall had 300+ yards and two touchdowns on this secondary. It was a c lassic bend-but-don't-break game for the Ducks defense.
