Jaguars vs. Falcons

The Jacksonville Jaguars have already started to struggle. In the preseason, the Jaguars are 0-3 with one game remaining. That game is tonight against the 1-1 Atlanta Falcons.

Neither one of these teams will have much success in the regular season. This game won’t be the most entertaining game on the preseason slate tonight. But there’s certainly some value.

In three preseason games, the Jaguars haven’t scored more than 15 points in any game. In the most recent game against the Steelers, Lawrence threw 21 attempts but only finished with a quarterback rating of 84. E.J. Perry and C.J. Beathard would continue to be his backup in this one.

On the other hand, the Falcons took a loss to the Jets on Monday and will already play their next game tonight. They’re getting five days of rest before this game. That’s concerning. Atlanta certainly has the better quarterback play between Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder, but can they really be prepared within five days? Give me the under in this one.

Bet: Under 37

Rams vs. Bengals

When the Bengals and Rams met earlier this week in a joint practice, things got a bit out of hand. The practice had to be shortened due to an all-out brawl that involved Aaron Donald falling on the ground with a Bengals helmet in his hand. Both coaches, I’m sure, have acknowledged to their players that they won’t tolerate that behavior going into this game. But emotions could get the best of some of these guys. There’s some bad blood between these two teams right now.

The Bengals are currently 0-2 in the preseason after reaching the Super Bowl last season. I wouldn’t worry about this too much. The Bengals have ultimately played their backups throughout the preseason and will probably continue doing that going into tonight’s game. The Bengals have scored over 21 points in each of their two games but have also allowed 36 and 25 points in their two preseason game respectively. Cincinnati has been using Brandan Allen, Jake Browning, and Drew Plitt under center and none of those three have really stood out.

On the flip side, the Rams were defeated by the Houston Texans last week, as Davis Mills, Kyle Allen, and Jeff Driskel combined for a touchdown each in the win. The Rams weren’t great defensively with their second unit and had to rely on Jake Wolford and Bryce Perkins under center. However, the Rams have been getting serious production out of Lance McCutcheon at wide receiver, which should help them on the offensive end. I’ll take the over.
