The Buccaneers announced earlier in the week that Tom Brady will actually play in the team’s preseason finale after missing 11 days of training camp for undisclosed reasons. The line responded moved immediately after that news, dropping from Indianapolis -5.5 to Indy -3 at some places. However, we don’t know how long Brady will play, or who he’ll suit up with Saturday. But despite Brady’s return, the Colts remain a slight favorite. Why? Because they’ll also be playing starters not named Jonathan Taylor for up to a half. With all this in mind, there’s a bit too much uncertainty for me to confidently back either side in this game. If I had to make a play, I’d buy the dip and take the Colts as a field goal favorite. Brady will play, but I doubt he plays longer than a series or two.
