New York Sportsbooks Set Weekly Revenue Record At Million

The New York State Gaming Commission reported $62 million in adjusted gross sports wagering revenue from its eight mobile sportsbooks for the week ending Oct. 15, setting an all-time high for online mobile operator winnings in the Empire State.

Though the state agency does not break out revenue reports by sport category, the belief is that operators cleaned up on parlays since both the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers lost in Week 6 of NFL action and were likely included in many multi-leg wagers.

The defending NFC champion Eagles lost 20-14 on the road to the New York Jets, while the 49ers were stunned 19-17 at Cleveland. Also perhaps playing into the house’s favor was the under going 12-2-1 in Week 6 games, with both the Eagles-Jets game and 49ers-Browns game failing to reach their respective totals.

Overall, the eight mobile books in New York — Bally Bet is still migrating its platform to Kambi — posted a 15.4% hold that was also an all-time high in 93 weeks of digital betting since launch in January 2022. The previous record for revenue was $57.5 million established for the week ending Jan. 22, and it was the third time weekly revenue surpassed $50 million. The previous standard for operator hold was 14.2% set during he week ending July 10, 2022.
