New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Clippers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-11-2023

New York will be looking to get back on track when it travels to Los Angeles for the second game of a four-game road trip on Saturday afternoon. The Knicks have lost back-to-back games, falling to Sacramento by five points to open the trip on Thursday. Los Angeles is on a five-game homestand that began with wins over Memphis and Toronto.

New York was one of the hottest teams in the NBA last month, winning nine straight games and 11 out of 12. The Knicks capped their winning streak with victories at Miami and Boston last weekend before losing to Charlotte and Sacramento in their following two games. They were 10-point favorites in their loss to Charlotte and were 2-point underdogs in the 122-117 setback against Sacramento. RJ Barrett scored 25 points in the loss to the Kings, while Julius Randle posted a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. They were ultimately unable to overcome a 15-point fourth quarter from Sacramento’s De’Aaron Fox.

New York’s 105 points against Charlotte was its fewest in a game since Feb. 7 and matched its lowest output in a loss since Jan. 18. The Knicks have some lineup uncertainty coming into this matchup, as Jalen Brunson played less than 20 minutes due to a foot injury at Sacramento. Brunson is averaging a career-high 23.8 points per game and is dishing out 6.1 assists. He missed the previous two games before beginning the road trip at Sacramento. New York ranks No. 12 in the NBA in scoring (115.3), with Brunson accounting for 23.8 of them. Randle is averaging team highs in points (25.2) and rebounds (10.4). He is facing a Los Angeles defense that is No. 13, allowing 112.8 points per game.
