Their ceiling is definitely lower, but this is a fun group that is capable of winning some money for bettors down the stretch. The Nets traded their top players away, but decided to keep Mikal Bridges after acquiring him in the Kevin Durant deal with the Phoenix Suns. This has to be because Brooklyn wants a good player for fans to get behind for the rest of the season.

In his first game as a Net, Bridges scored 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting and a 3-for-5 clip from long range. His usage rating was 27.7% in his first impression for Brooklyn after posting a career usage rating of 14.8%. Simply put, Bridges figures to be a focal point of this offense moving forward.

The Knicks rank 12th in the league in points allowed per game, but they haven't defended small forwards well this year. New York is giving up the most points per game (24.01) to opposing small forwards, according to FantasyPros.  

Bridges is only averaging 17.3 points per game, but he's set up to score more as one of the top options on this version of the Nets. After clearing this line of 18.5 in eight of his last 10 games, we like Bridges to keep it rolling in Monday's tilt to cash this three-star bet.

This game has featured plenty of line movement, which is probably due to the market not agreeing on what these teams look like following the trade deadline. The Knicks opened as a 4-point favorite, but the line is now at 2.5 at most shops. FanDuel is the lone top-rated sportsbook hanging a 3-point spread.
