NBA Player Prop Predictions 1: DeMar DeRozan
Chicago Bulls small forward DeMar DeRozan is averaging 21.4 points but only 4.3 assists per game through the first seven games of the 2023-24 campaign.
What’s interesting is he has recorded far less assists at home with only 2, 3 & 4 compared to 6, 7, 4 and 4 on the road.
This is a trend that dates back to last season, clearing this total in 12 of 39 home games for a 31% success rate compared to 21 of 41 on the road for a 51% success rate.
DeRozan has also done more damage scoring at home this season where he averages 25.7 points through three games. Last season against the Utah Jazz, DeRozan stuffed the stat sheet in both categories with 26 & 35 points and 6 & 7 assists.
However, the Jazz rank 20th in assists allowed thus far while allowing the 5th most points in the league and 5th most points in the paint.
DerRozan obviously prefers to put on a show with his scoring in home games where he hasn’t eclipsed four assists in any game. The number seems one too high here and that’s why I’m perfectly fine with the extra juice attached to this play at -140 odds.

NBA Player Prop Predictions 2: Luka Doncic 9.5 Rebounds (-140) DK
Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic is averaging nearly a triple double with 32 points, 10.2 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game through his first six games of the 2023-24 regular season.
However, Doncic has struggled to keep up with those rebounding numbers in back-to-back games in the past as he cleared this line of 9.5 only once in 7 tries last season with an average of only 6.3 boards per game.
He also struggled on the glass against a very active Orlando Magic team where Doncic averaged only 4.5 rebounds on 9.5 rebound chances per game.
We should see this trend continue this season as the Magic have allowed the 7th fewest rebounds per game this season while ranking 6th in offensive rebounds.
Even without Wendell Carter Jr in the mix, the Magic have young active players who can snag rebounds. Doncic also saw a decrease in rebounds in road games last season where he averaged only 8 rebounds while clearing this total in only 9 of 29 games.
Orlando ranks 9th in rebounds allowed to opposing point guards with only 5.91 per game. Combine all of these factors and we have the perfect recipe for an under 9.5 rebounds for Doncic tonight in Orlando.
