NBA Player Prop Predictions 1: Darius Garland
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland has averaged 17.4 points and 6.2 assists on 46.9% shooting from the field through his first five games of the 2023-24 campaign.
Garland has fallen short of recording 20+ points in four of his first five games including all four of his road games while averaging only 15.8 points per game.
The Sacramento Kings allow the 4th fewest points to opposing point guards with only 19.67 per game. De’Aaron Fox is listed as doubtful due to an ankle injury, but the Kings have allowed the 7th fewest points to opposing point guards in the five games without him on the court.
Garland played the Kings twice last season and averaged only 12 points per game on 30.8% shooting which were his worst numbers against any team in the league. He’s actually played them a total of six times and never eclipsed this total.
The Kings are playing stronger defense than in the past and they have consistently shut down opposing point guards. Ride the trend and take the under on Garland tonight in Sacramento.

Toronto Raptors small forward Scottie Barnes has been remarkably consistent with an average of 20.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists on 58.3% shooting from the field through the early regular season.
Barnes has averaged 35.8 Points + Rebounds + Assists per game while clearing this total in 7 of 9 games and landing on 30 & 19 in the other two games.
The Washington Wizards have allowed the MOST points (26.15/game), 5th most rebounds (9.25/game) and 3rd most assists (4.92/game) to opposing small forwards.
Opposing small forwards have consistently recorded big PRA numbers against Washington including Mikal Bridges (42), Gordon Hayward (41 & 29), Tobias Harris (28) and Jimmy Butler (29).
The Wizards will also be playing a back-to-back game after losing 102-94 in Brooklyn last night. Barnes is coming off his worst game of the season on Saturday in Boston, but this game offers a great bounce back spot at home against a vulnerable Wizards defense.
