He's been lights out at home this season pitching to a 1.58 ERA, .798 WHIP, & an OBA of .183. Wheeler has also strung together three straight really strong outings going 7-innings and allowing 2 or fewer runs in all of them. He's not striking out a ton of people this year but has gone over this K prop in his last two starts.
He faces a Marlins team who prior to struggling against them in Miami this year, he had dominated the past two seasons. In three starts over 2020 and 2021, he went 2-0, allowed a total of 6 runs, and struck out 7 or more in two of those three games. The Marlins are “floundering” down the stretch, and Wheeler is getting primed for a postseason push.''
