deGrom will be making his 2022 debut tonight against the now Juan Soto(less) Nationals. He threw just 67 pitches in his final rehab outing and with Washington throwing a depleted lineup out there, one could expect the Mets to be cautious with their ace. He did go over this prop in 12 of his 15 starts last season including a 15 K performance against Washington but it's his first Major League start in over a year. He's easily one of baseball's top pitchers but I'm expecting a little rust and a little quicker leash than normal.

Schoop is hitting just .208 on the season but he had a really good July batting .268 with 26 hits in 97 ABs. He's recorded a hit in four of his last six games and faces a pitcher he's hit well in the past tonight. Schoop has 16 hits in 44 career ABs (.364 BA) against tonight’s Twins starter Chris Archer and is 1-for-4 against the RHP this season. Archer has been really bad in his last two outings, allowing a total of 7 walks, 8 hits, and surrendering 10 runs during those starts. Schoop's 2022 has been one to forget but he should fare well tonight.
