This looks like a mismatch between a team that should be heading to the playoffs and another than may be one of the worst in the league. Early returns indicate as much, with the Cubs having won 3 in a row and the Rockies limping into Wrigley Field with a 1-5 record. Chicago has bounced back from 2 losses to begin the season by outscoring opponents 26- over the past 3. Cody Bellinger (2 home runs, 8 RBIs) is heating up nicely and the Cubs' lineup as a whole should continue to victimize a Rockies pitching staff that has already been a disaster (7.02 ERA and 1.83 WHIP). Colorado starter Cal Quantrill was rocked for 5 earned runs in his season debut. He has particularly struggled against the Cubs, allowing 6 runs in his last start against them in 2023. Look for the home team to prevail by multiple runs.
