MLB Monday mega parlay 7/25 (+859 odds): On to Cincinnati

We are beginning the first full week of the 2022 Major League Baseball season's second half with a 12-game slate on Monday. An NL East showdown between Atlanta and Philadelphia is part of the schedule, while familiar foes Texas and Seattle will meet again after also facing each other right before the all-star break. Monday's lone ESPN+ contest features Colorado and Milwaukee at 8:10 pm ET.

It's time to take a look at the three components of today's mega parlay.

For this parlay we are going with two favorites on the run line and one underdog on the money line. Let's break down each of the three legs one by one.

Reds -1.5 over Marlins (+145)

The Reds should be able to get the job done with home-field advantage in this one. They have enjoyed the luxury of being at home since the second half of the season began, plus they just faced a much tougher opponent in the Cardinals and won that series. The Cards are a star-studded lineup with the NL MVP favorite in Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado, among others; the Marlins have no such guys. That's been especially true in the last few weeks without Jazz Chisholm, and he is still not ready to return. He missed the All-Star Game and was out of the lineup for the last few games before the break. In turn, the Marlins’ offense took a turn for the worse, scoring just 1 run and getting shut out twice in their last 3 first-half games. Unfortunately for Miami, the time off did not make anything better. The Fish opened last week with an 8-0 loss to the Rangers and were shut out by the Pirates on Saturday. This is just about the best opportunity Cincinnati starter Hunter Green e has for another win, especially since he isn't being opposed by Miami ace Sandy Alcantara.
