Minnesota is 104th in points per 100 possessions (109.8) and 49th in points allowed per 100 possessions (98.9).

The Spartans held a five-point lead heading into the half, but the Golden Gophers shot 52.9 % after the break, including 5-9 from three-point range to rally for the victory. Michigan State went just 7-17 from the free-throw line while Minnesota was 12-19, proving to be the difference in the game.
