Michigan vs. Purdue Big Ten Championship odds, tips and betting trends

The No. 2 Michigan Wolverines (12-0) and Purdue Boilermakers (8-4) will battle in the Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

The Wolverines head into the matchup after winning 45-23 over the Ohio State Buckeyes in their last game on November 26. The Boilermakers are coming off of a victory over the Indiana Hoosiers by the score of 30-16. J.J. McCarthy had 263 yards on 12-of-24 passing (50.0%) for the Wolverines in that matchup against the Buckeyes, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added six carries for 27 yards and one rushing touchdown. Donovan Edwards rushed for 216 yards on 22 carries (9.8 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, adding two receptions for nine yards. Cornelius Johnson recorded four receptions for 160 yards (averaging 40.0 per catch), while scoring two touchdowns against the Buckeyes. Aidan O’Connell went 18-for-29 with 290 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the Boilers against the Hoosiers. Devin Mockobee carried the ball 15 times for 99 yards and one touchdown. He caught five passes for 58 yards. Charlie Jones picked up 143 yards through the air afte r four catches (on nine targets), with one touchdown.

The Wolverines are the favorite (-16.5) in a projected blowout game with the Boilermakers. The total is set at 51.5 points.
