Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-27-2022

The Miami Heat (9-11, 6-13-1 ATS, 11-9 O/U) battle the Atlanta Hawks (11-8, 8-11 ATS, 11-8 O/U) in a divisional showdown on Sunday evening. The Heat posted a home win against the Wizards on Friday. The Hawks dropped a road decision to the Rockets on Friday night. The Heat went 3-1 against the Hawks in the regular season last year and defeated them in the playoffs. 

The Miami Heat begin a four-game road trek starting on Sunday. The squad has rebounded from a string of poor results. They had lost four bouts in a row and countered with two wins against the Wizards, earning a 113-105 win in the first meeting and were three-point favorites in a 110-107 home win in the rematch. The Heat have covered the spread in two out of their last three games.

Bam Adebayo accumulated a remarkable 38 points in Friday’s victory. The 25-year-old center has recorded three straight double-doubles and has amassed an average of 19.9 PPG and 9.5 RPG. Adebayo posted 22.5 points and six boards in the two meetings again the Hawks last season. Tyler Herro has recorded two double-doubles this month. The 22-year-old point guard has only averaged 16.8 points in November and is sporting an average of 18.7 PPG on the season. Jimmy Butler remains out of action. The 33-year-old star has mi ssed the last five games and won’t return until at least Wednesday. Max Strus did not play on Friday and is questionable. 

The Heat are struggling to win games on the road, dropping seven out of their last eight road bouts, and have not won on the road since late October. Miami is scoring an average of 108.6 points, ranking them 28th in the NBA. They continue to play solid defense and are limiting foes to 109.5 points, good for seventh.
