The Maryland Terrapins (12-6, 11-7 ATS, 5-13 O/U) battle the Purdue Boilermakers (18-1, 8-10-1 ATS, 6-13 O/U) in a Big Ten showdown on Sunday afternoon. The Terrapins posted a home win against Michigan on Thursday. The Boilermakers clobbered Minnesota in their previous action. Purdue collected a 62-61 road win in the only meeting against Maryland last season.

The Maryland Terrapins enter this one as a winner of two out of their last three games. Maryland beat Ohio State, lost a rough 81-67 road decision to Iowa, and were three-point favorites in a 64-58 home win against Michigan on Thursday to climb to 3-4 in Big Ten play on the year. The Terrapins are a competitive squad but are inconsistent in the offensive end. They have not covered the spread in any of their last three road clashes.

Jahmir Young is clicking, sinking at least 20 points in three consecutive games. The senior guard accumulated 26 points in Thursday’s victory and is sporting an average of 15.8 PPG on 42.8% shooting. Donta Scott recorded a double-double in Sunday’s loss to Iowa. The senior forward is averaging 12.4 PPG on a poor 42% mark from the field accompanied by 6.1 RPG. Hakim Hart recorded 10 points in Thursday’s win. The senior guard has shot below 38% in four of his last five games and has logged an average of 11.6 PPG. 

The Terrapins are ranked 42nd in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are 1-4 on the road including losses to Wisconsin and Rutgers. Maryland rarely posts big numbers, scoring 67 or fewer in four of their last five games, and are scoring an average of 71.1 points on the season, ranking them 194th. They are limiting opponents to 64.5 points, placing them 54th in the country.
