Los Angeles Chargers 2022 futures: Super Bowl odds, win total picks, best bets, schedule and more

After watching his fellow 2020 draftee Joe Burrow thrive'in 2021, Justin Herbert has to be thinking it's his turn to have postseason success. The Chargers were a Week 18 missed field goal away from a playoff appearance before coming up short in Las Vegas. This offseason they've upgraded both sides of the ball, including acquiring Khalil Mack from Chicago to bolster a solid defensive unit. Assuming second-year coach Brandon Staley won't be as reckless with his risky decisions, the Chargers appear to be a sleeper team to rep resent the AFC in the Super Bowl LVII.

The Chargers have a chance to take hold of the AFC West early with a relatively favorable early-season schedule, including a trip to Kansas City, where they won last season. An argument can be made for a potential 6-1 or 7-0 start heading into their bye week. The last nine games are tricky with a good amount of coin flips, including home games against Kansas City, Tennessee, and the defending Super Bowl champion Rams. During that same time LA visits San Francisco, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, and Denver. If you're a Chargers fan, get ready for a potential weekly roller coaster of emotions.

With Kansas City having lost their most dynamic playmaker, Tyreek Hill, an opportunity to unseat them at the top of the competitive AFC West is ripe for the picking. The Chargers might end up being a trendy Super Bowl choice this season and if so, the +250 to win the division and +850 to win the AFC are appealing. Outside of Buffalo, Los Angeles might have the highest ceiling of any team in the AFC.
