The Los Angeles Lakers jumped to an early lead, but the Denver Nuggets established complete control in the second half of their 114-103 win in Game 1 on Saturday. Denver has now won nine consecutive games against Los Angeles.
With such a short turnaround in the altitude, the Nuggets should dominate Monday's Game 2 to take a 2-0 series lead. And our best player props support that theory.

Lakers vs. Nuggets prop bet predictions for Monday
This was my best prop in our Game 1 preview, and it cashed despite Anthony Davis attempting more 3-pointers than expected. Davis went 0-for-4 from long range, including a pair of questionable attempts during Denver's decisive run in the third quarter.
Davis doesn't usually attempt that many 3-pointers. He averaged 1 .4 attempts per game this season, connecting on just 0.4 per contest. He shot 27.1% from long range this year, below his career average of 29.7%.
The Lakers have no shot if Davis is firing up those attempts. Take advantage of this line moving from -130 to -112 after Game 1.

New year, same D'Angelo Russell. The Lakers point guard struggled in Game 1, shooting 6-for-20 from the floor and 1-of-9 from long range. It was enough to cash the plus-money Under on 2.5 3-pointers that we recommended.
But I don't expect the Lakers to bench Russell like they did in last year's Western Conference Finals, as he is the team's best shooter. Russell only committed one turnover on Saturday, but he averaged 2.1 per game this season.
This line is playable at -150 or better, thanks to a projection north of two turnovers on Monday.

This isn't a player prop, but it's my favorite bet for Game 2. The Lakers raced out to an early lead on Saturday after spending one day in Denver. With a short turnaround, I expect the altitude to have a more significant impact on this game.
The Nuggets ranked second in the NBA in first-quarter net rating (14.7), while the Lakers were 21st (-3.6) in the same metric. Don't be fooled by Saturday's effort in the opening period. The Nuggets are the better b et in the first quarter for the remainder of the series.
