Kansas City Chiefs 2022-23 – NFL Schedule

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the 2021-22 NFL regular season 12-5 and won the AFC West title. Kansas City was 5-1 in division play, 7-2 at home and 5-3 on the road. Kansas City was defeated by the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24 in the AFC Championship game. Kansas City had one of the NFL's best offenses last season ranking first in first downs, plays per drive, yards per drive and points per drive. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes returns to lead the offense.'

Mahomes passed for 4,839 yards with 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Clyde Edwards-Helaire missed seven games last season but rushed for 517 yards and four touchdowns and will be the feature back in the Chiefs offense. The leading receiver last season, Tyreek Hill, is no longer with the Chiefs but tight end Travis Kelce is one of the best receivers in football. Kelce caught 92 passes for 1,125 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Kansas City's defense gave up too much last season. The Chiefs were 27th in passing yardage allowed and 26th in net yards allowed per attempt. Kansas City lost talented safety Tyrann Mathieu but should be improved from last year. Kansas City's defense will be a 4-3, led by defensive ends Frank Clark and George Karlaftis. The two starting defensive tackles are Derrick Nnadi and Chris Jones. The linebacker corps is led by Jermaine Carter Jr in the middle with Nick Bolton and Willie Gay on either side. Justin Reid and Juan Thornbill will be the two starting safeties with Trent McDuffie and L'Jarius Sneed will be starting at the corners.'
