Javonte Williams projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Denver Broncos player profile, season outlook, simulations

Looking for a potential top ten fantasy running back at a discounted price? The second year Williams, out of North Carolina, might flourish if given the starting role and consistent carries with well above average quarterback play in Denver. Last year he totaled more than 1,200 combined rushing / receiving yards despite a 51 / 49 split in playing time with Melvin Gordon.'

The one game Gordon missed in 2021, Week 13 at Kansas City, Williams combined for 178 yards and a touchd own in a Denver 22-9 loss. The upside if given the playing time is through the roof for the talented, explosive 22 year old RB. His receiving skills make him a legitimate threat out of the backfield and an asset in PPR leagues. Surprisingly though, Williams' longest play from scrimmage in his rookie season was 49 yards, a number that likely will be easily surpassed in 2022.

If Denver gives Williams even a 60 percent snap split over Gordon, it's likely the shifty runner will produce top-15 fantasy running back stats. Don't discount a potential 55+ reception season and double-digit touchdowns, and if so, Williams might be a tremendous value in the third round of fantasy drafts this summer.
