Jalin Turner was one of the hottest lightweights on the planet for a few years. The 28-year-old Californian racked up five consecutive victories over a 27-month span, finishing each of those opponents (three by submission, two by TKO). Unfortunately, Turner's run came to a halt with a split-decision loss to Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 285.
Dan Hooker, on the other hand, has struggled to maintain consistency over the last three years. He's 2-4 in his last six fights – the worst stretch of his MMA career. Having said that, he is feeling confident after his knockout win over Claudio Puelles at UFC 281, leaving time to tell if Hooker can build off that moment.
Though Hooker won more recently, I see Turner being victorious in Sin City. It's just hard to trust Hooker when he's been finished in the first round in three of his last five fights. Meanwhile, Turner has demonstrated an impressive finishing ability throughout his UFC tenure and will be determined to get back on track.

I'm taking Jalin Turner winning by KO/TKO at +195 odds as the best bet. Hooker has been knocked out twice in his last five fights and three times overall during his UFC tenure. He's going to be in trouble against Turner, who lands 5.63 significant strikes per minute with 46% accuracy while owning nine KO/TKO victories under his belt.
With some well-timed blows early on, Turner could lay out Hooker fairly quickly.
