Jake Paul's Betr Approved By Indiana For Mobile Vendor License

The Indiana Gaming Commission recently granted Betr a temporary vendor license for mobile sports betting, moving the sportsbook primarily known for microbetting closer to launch in the Hoosier State.

The IGC made the approval Monday, and Betr is lined up to be the mobile skin of Caesars Southern Indiana. The casino, located in Elizabeth near the Kentucky border, is the only venue in the state not to have a mobile skin since Indiana launched sports betting in 2019.

Betr originally gained market access in November 2022 when it reached an agreement with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Betr was co-founded by Joey Levy and social media influencer turned professional boxer Jake Paul, who has more than 60 million followers spanning his official Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok accounts.

Indiana currently has 13 mobile sports betting apps, though Unibet will be leaving the space at some point during the year as part of parent company Kindred’s withdrawal from the North American betting space. Bet365 is the most recent entrant in the space, accepting its first bets Jan. 30.
