The Jackson State Tigers will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide this Tuesday from the Coleman Coliseum on the SEC Network. Alabama won all three previous meetings by double figures back in the late 2000s.
Jackson State dropped to 1-10 after losing to Texas Tech in Lubbock. The Tigers have made a lot of money on this extended road trip to begin the season, but it’s generated painful results, and the 50-point blowout from the Red Raiders added insult to injury after the Celebration Bowl lost to NC Central in Deion Sanders’ final game at the helm.
Jackson State scores 66.1 points per game, while allowing 82.6 ppg, and shooting 42.1% from the floor. Trace Young scored a career-high 28 points in JSU’s lone win over SMU, and he leads the Tigers in rebounding (5.4), while scoring 10.6 ppg.
