Houston at SMU 11/5/22 – College Football Picks & Predictions

The Houston Cougars travel'this week to Dallas, TX for an in state matchup against the SMU Mustangs. Houston comes into this week playing well with five wins with their first eight games played including four of the last five following a three-game win streak after a 15 point win against South Florida. Offensively Houston controlled the game accumulating 490 yards of total offense including 387 through the air to score 42 points in the game following a 28 point first half.

Quarterback Clayton Tune led the way for Houston completing 31 of 37 passes for 380 yards and four scores in the game. Stacy Sneed led all ball carriers with 60 yards and two scores on 10 carries, while Nathaniel Dell added a team high 112 yards receiving to go along with two touchdowns on 9 receptions.

The SMU Mustangs return home this week at an even 4-4 on the year following an 11 point win in Tulsa. Offensively SMU was dominant against Tulsa compiling 468 total yards of offense after 310 came through the air to score 45 total points in the victory. The SMU defense struggled a bit allowing nearly 400 total yards of offense and 34 points but forced two turnovers and held Tulsa to 7 points in the first half to get the victory.
