He has a 6.63 home ERA and has allowed 13 of the 18 home runs to come at home as well. This is the perfect situation for Jose Abreu to get his power bat going as everyone has suspected will happen at some point this season. He only has two home runs in July but does sport a .369 average this month.
Abreu is a much better hitter on the road hitting .367 opposed to .242 at home and eight of his 11 home runs have also come on the road as well in five less total at-bats.
We're all aware of Abreu's power as he had 228 home runs in his career before this season coming out to 28 home r uns per season. If the White Sox are going to have any shot at winning the AL Central, Abreu's power has to surface soon.
