Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Nick Castellanos (Game 1) Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+120)
Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Nick Castellanos is batting .274 on the season with 17 home runs and 67 RBI across 463 plate appearances.
He has been on fire in August with a .280 batting average, three home runs and 7 RBI while clearing 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI in five of his last six games.
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Trevor Williams is 5-6 on the season with a bloated 4.72 ERA and 1.49 WHIP with only 79 strikeouts across 108.1 innings pitched. He was clubbed in his last outing against the New York Mets where he allowed five runs on seven hits across only four innings of work.
Castellanos has feasted on Williams throughout his career, going 11-28 with two home runs and four doubles.
He isn’t the only Philly slugger to have success against Williams as Bryce Harper is 3-9, Kyle Schwarber is 10-37 with four home runs and JT Realmuto 5-10 with three home runs.
Castellanos will also have opportunities against a vulnerable bullpen that ranks 28th with a 5.13 ERA. This play checks all the boxes, making it worth a while for a plus money play despite the 2.5 line.
Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Tommy Pham Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-115)
Recently acquired Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder Tommy Pham is batting .257 on the season with 10 home runs and 37 RBI across 277 plate appearances.
Pham has struggled since joining the team, going 1-14 (.071) with no extra base hits and only one RBI across four games. He has now fallen short of 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in 8 of his last 9 starts.
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias is 8-6 on the season with a 4.69 ERA and 82 strikeouts across 86.1 innings of work. Urias faced the Diamondbacks during the opening week of the season, and he held them to two runs on four hits across six innings pitched.
Pham has also struggled against Urias throughout his career, being held to 3-17 (.176) with only one home run and five strikeouts.
He isn’t the only Diamondback slugger to struggle with Urias as Ketel Marte is 5-22 (.227), Christian Walker 4-21 (.190) and Corbin Carroll 0-2 (.000). On top of that, the Arizona lineup is in a major funk with only 15 combined runs scored across their last 8 games.
Urias is coming into this outing with plenty of confidence after pitching six scoreless innings last time out. Pham has consistently had his issues hitting Urias and if he does get on base this lineup could easily leave hm stranded on base.
