Hampton vs. St. Bonaventure Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-15-2024

The Hampton Pirates are heading to the Island FCU Arena on Thursday evening to take on the Stony Brook Seawolves in Colonial Athletic Association action. The Pirates (5-12, 0-12) are on a two-game losing streak after a 95-65 home loss on Saturday against the UNC Wilmington Seahawks. The Seawolves (13-12, 6-6) are coming off a 5-77 road loss against the Campbell Fighting Camels on Saturday.



The Hampton Pirates are coming off a brutal 95-65 home loss against the UNC Wilmington Seahawks and it doesn’t help allowing 46+ points in each half. The Pirates shot at a decent level as they were able to go 24-of-61 (39.3%) from the floor, 7-of-24 (29.2%) from the three-point line and 13 free-throw attempts. Sophomore forward Kyrese Mullen stepped up as in 33 minutes he posted 23 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and three turnovers. The defense needs to be better as they allowed UNC Wilmington to shoot 60.3% overall, 38.1% from deep and 18 opportunities at the charity stripe.  

 

The Hampton Pirates are scoring pretty well as they are averaging 74.1 points per game while shooting 44.1% from the floor as a whole. The d efense needs to step up more as they are giving up 78.1 points per game up to this point.
