Hampton at Georgia – 11/30/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Hampton PIrates and Georgia Bulldogs face off on Wednesday in a college basketball showdown at the Stegeman Coliseum. This is the first meeting played between the two teams in recent years. 

Hampton comes into this game with a 1-5 record and they have gone 3-2 against the spread. In the last game against Wake Forest the defense was awful giving up 97 points and that led to the 27 point defeat. Two games ago against North Alabama they were a lot more competitive but ended up losing 75-74. Hampton is averaging 71.7 points while their defense is giving up 83.2 points per game. Guard Russell Dean has been the top player for Hampton averaging 14.2 points while shooting 31.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the three points line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Georgia who sits with a 5-2 record and they have gone 2-5 against the spread. In the last game against ETSU the defense was elite giving up only 47 points, and that led to an easy victory. Two games ago against UAB the defense gave up 87 points, and they need the defense to be better here. Georgia is averaging 68.9 points while their defense is giving up 64.9 points per game. Guard Terry Roberts has been the top player for Georgia averaging 13.7 points while shooting 37.5 percent from the field and 25 percent from behind the three-point line.
