Guardians vs Rangers Prediction & Pick

Rookie starting pitcher Tanner Bibee has been great for the Guardians over the last month or so. The 2021 fifth-rounder is 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA in his last four starts, also striking out 26 batters over 21 2/3 innings.

In other words, Martin Perez needs a strong showing if the Rangers are to win today. The veteran starting pitcher's last start was dreadful, giving up six earned runs and three homers over just 1 1/3 innings in a 12-11 loss to the Houston Astros on July 3.

Although Perez's last appearance left much to be desired, he's more than capable of bouncing back today. The Guardians also haven't been playing well on the road, losing four of their last six away games with a minus-2 average run margin. Considering how Cleveland has been outscored 14-4 on aggregate in this series, there's no excuse for Texas not to win.

Unless something goes seriously wrong, the Rangers will notch their third straight victory.

Final Score Prediction:'Rangers: 4 | Guardians: 3

Guardians vs Rangers Best Bet

Corey Seager has been the Rangers' best player throughout July. The four-time MLB All-Star has seen 50-at bats over 11 games this month, recording 18 hits (including six doubles and three home runs) while slashing .400/.440/.733.

What's also impressive is that Seager recorded multiple hits in six of those games, including a two-hit performance against the Guardians on Friday. With Texas looking to complete the sweep today, I won't be surprised if Seager steps up again and finishes with multiple hits.
